Antique paintings of horses on panel

Elegant pair of equestrian paintings on panel, in a classic style, depicting two purebred horses in a country setting.
The top piece shows a chestnut horse seen in profile, haltered, in an open meadow with distant trees and a soft, cloudy sky. It has a signature in the lower right corner. The lower one represents a dark brown, almost black, three-quarter horse, on a background of greens and turquoise blues that give a lot of atmosphere to the composition.
Both are painted on board, and the wood is visible in some areas, which provides an authentic patina and a very particular charm. They present cracking and wear typical of the passage of time, consistent with their age.
They are presented in their original ebonized frames, with a stepped profile and a gilded interior fillet, which enhance the works and give them a very decorative presence.
They come from the old market in Marbella from the 70s, which adds a value of origin and history to the pair.
They are ideal for a living room, an office, a library or a hall, both in classic and rustic, English-style or eclectic environments. They can be hung together, vertically or horizontally, or separately.
