Religious icon

This piece is a vintage religious icon, an exceptional work of sacred art made using the technique of oil on panel (or old canvas). The painting represents a Crowned Virgin in a praying attitude, flanked by delicate figures of angels and cherubs at the base, evoking the classic iconography of the Assumption or the Immaculate Conception.

The work stands out for its original patina, which provides a historical and authentic character. It is mounted on a velvet or blue fabric background that highlights the dark, earthy tones of the painting. The set is protected by a carved and gilded wooden frame with a unique polygonal shape (pointed finish), decorated with classic motifs that enhance its decorative and spiritual value. It is an ideal piece for collectors of religious antiques, viceregal art or for interior decoration with pieces with history.
