Louis XVI Console Patinated Mustard Yellow

Louis XVI Console Patinated Mustard Yellow

Spectacular Louis XVI Neoclassical style console painted in a vibrant mustard yellow with an aged shabby chic finish, which turns this piece into a true element of decorative impact. The intentional wear on the edges and moldings reveals the natural wood background, providing depth, warmth and that vintage charm that characterizes the Shabby Chic style of classical French inspiration.
The top board has a slightly molded profile with a gently curved front at the ends, offering a generous surface of 140 cm wide and 48 cm deep, perfect for both decorative and functional use. The width of the board makes it one of the most versatile pieces in its category.
The body incorporates two invisible asymmetrical front drawers with recessed panel fronts and perimeter molding. The absence of visible handles reinforces the cleanliness of lines characteristic of the Louis XVI period, a transition between exuberant Rococo and more contained and geometric Neoclassicism.
The four turned legs are the most unique and elegant element of the piece. With a conical and fluted profile, they have decorative capitals with motifs of leaves or palmettes carved in the upper third, and turned separation rings that articulate the shaft with precision and delicacy. This type of leg, directly inspired by the classic Greco-Roman column, is the most recognizable hallmark of the Louis XVI style and here it achieves an outstanding quality of execution.
The set, unified by the striking mustard yellow, is a piece with great personality that works as a focal point in any room. Ideal as a hall console, sideboard in the living room or dining room, decorative desk or office table in the bedroom. Its intense color dialogues with white, gray, bottle green, midnight blue interiors and natural wood or walnut finishes.
Made of solid wood with traditional assemblies. The patinated finish with genuine wear marks adds character and authenticity to this rare collector's item.
